CHESAR training 13/02/2012 - Brussels ReachCentrum and TNO Triskelion are offering a new series of training courses to reflect the usefulness of the tool to create the chemical safety reports required for REACH. The latest version of CHESAR (1.2, newly released) will be used together with IUCLID 5.3.

Through the training, you will fully experience how CHESAR provides the structured workflow for carrying out a standard safety assessment for the different uses of a substance:

ART training 14/02/2012 Brussels
ART, a web based tool, provides a cost-effective higher tier worker exposure assessment approach for all scenarios where safe use could not be demonstrated using the first tier tools.  Companies can access the tool online free of charge. Participants wishing to attend this training course must create their account beforehand.

The use of ART as a higher tier exposure assessment tool is described in ECHA’s updated REACH guidance, but ART can of course also be used in other contexts (e.g. chemical agent directive).

Stoffenmanager training 15/02/2012 - Brussels
Stoffenmanager is a web-based worker exposure assessment and risk control tool for companies. The tool helps companies to prioritize their chemical risks and to find effective control measures.
The tool is free – it can be accessed and used without cost.

Stoffenmanager has the following features:
- A quantitative inhalation exposure module. An overview of the risk assessment with selected control measures is depicted in an action plan.
- The REACH-user route, which is scheduled to be linked to ECHA’s CHESAR tool
- Stoffenmanager Nano, for making qualitative risk estimates when working with nano materials.
- CLP (EU-GHS) compatibility
- Worker-education material, like short movies and workplace instruction card
